Market Activity and weekly tip

Hi, there, and welcome! I have to start by telling you all the Sun Ridge Real Estate is now a franchise of Coldwell Banker. What that means to you is more far-reaching opportunities for clients shopping for a home like yours! Locally owned, Nationally known!
I am getting ready to send a post card out to clients in the area to let them know what I have been doing. I was actually suprised myself to see that I have participated in over 25 home sales since January 1st of this year...either as the buyer's agent, the listing agent, or both! These transactions have taken place in Roseville, Rocklin, Plumas Lakes and Lincoln.
I tell you this so that you will know that I am working for your business!

And, yes, now is still a good time to buy or sell. The market seems to have leveled off and people are starting to price their homes at reasonable levels. Remember, it goes both ways. Your price may be reduced, but so is the price of the home you are trying to buy!

Lastly, your tip for the week in case you are going "buggy": Plan to go camping or being run out of your own backyard? Have a dog who is constantly picking up ticks?
1. Ticks should not be removed with nail polish or killed by suffocation with petroleum jelly, or matches or alcohol. Remove ony with tweezers. If traumatized they could regurgitate contents that may include lime disease bacteria.
2. Wearing light colored clothes can reduce the risk of bee stings. Yellowjackets, honeybees, etc. see in the ultraviolet spectrum and are attracted to bright colors.
3. Bug zappers won't lower your risk of mosquito bites. Trying to electricute the little suckers won't work cause they are attracted to the sound and you'll bring more around. Plus, it kills the good insects, too.
4. DEET in insect repellant is now considered okay. Also, there is a catnip product that works naturally you can try.
5. Especially if you are doing outdoor activities such as hiking, try holding a branch over your head as you walk arouind. Mosquitos tend to swarm toward the highest part of the body and will wander around the branch instead of you!

See you next time!
